Hi, my name is Erin Allen and I own Freedom Bernese. I have loved dogs all my life. We live outside of Omaha on 15 acres where dogs can run and play. I have been a medical technologist for 30 years. My background in science got me interested in breeding. I have three grown children who help out with the business and raising the pups. My husband and I have been married for 30 years and he is a big dog lover as well.
The first Bernese mountain dog I ever saw, was in the back of a pickup truck in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska. I said to myself I must have that dog. Some years later, I bought my first Bernese mountain dog after my mother passed away. She was funny aloof, playful, and the most loving dog I ever had. She finally made me laugh after the death of my mother.
A few years later, I decided I wanted to breed. I sought out a breeder in Iowa that has been a wonderful mentor and acquired one of her females. With my medical background, I want to produce a happy genetically sound solid animal that can be your best friend.
Holly is my first Bernese Mountain Dog. She was a rescue. She is why I fell in love with the breed. She is still as sweet and happy as ever at almost 9 years old!
Ivy is our beautiful female. Her parents were imported from Poland and France with a more blocky European look. She has been health and genetically tested. She is a great hunter and has a unique personality.
